On May 13, 2008, Rhoads & Sinon LLP client, Simone (daughter of legendary jazz singer Nina Simone), released her debut solo album “Simone on Simone.”  During the week of its release, the album debuted at number 14 on Billboard’s Traditional Jazz chart, number 22 on the Jazz Week radio chart, and was among the top 5 jazz albums on Apple, Inc.’s iTunes Store.

Simone has received rave reviews from various publications, including People Magazine and The Chicago Tribune.  In its review of “Simone on Simone,” People Magazine stated, “Does Simone have the chops to survive comparison?  The answer is yes.”  Likewise, with respect to one of Simone’s live performances, The Chicago Tribune noted, “Throughout, the singer asserted herself boldly.  In so doing, she honored her noble surname.”

This Fall, as part of the national tour in support of her album, Simone will be performing here in Harrisburg at the Whitaker Center’s Sunoco Performance Theatre.
