Angela McGowan is a member of the Firm’s Real Estate, Oil & Gas and Financial Institutions practice groups. She regularly assists developers, landowners and other business clients in the structuring, negotiation and execution of business and real estate transactions, including purchase and sale of commercial real estate, commercial leasing, planned communities and condominiums, homeowners associations, zoning, and financing of commercial real estate transactions. Additionally, she regularly assists business clients with a wide variety of general corporate issues, including such matters as entity formation, corporate governance and stock and asset acquisitions.  Angela represents financial institutions with respect to commercial lending, loan workouts and collection matters.

As a member of the Oil & Gas practice group, Angela provides counsel to owners or operators of oil and gas operations or landowners with leasing, acquisition, land use, rights of way, easements, zoning issues and all other real estate matters related to oil and gas law. Angela has significant experience and success in the representation of landowners in the negotiation of pipeline easements for the transportation of natural gas across the Commonwealth.

Angela is an active member of Rhoads & Sinon's Women Empowered ("WE"), which is a group that highlights and supports the success and advancement of women as business and community leaders.   In 2016, the Central Pennsylvania Business Journal recognized Angela as one of its “25 Women of Influence” for her leadership and achievements within Rhoads & Sinon, as well as her contributions to the community

Angela graduated first in her class in 2007 from Widener University School of Law. While at Widener, Angela served as an Internal Editor for the Widener Law Journal and an Academic Support Fellow mentoring first and second year students in Property Law.   Angela was named a Widener University Scholar and received awards in recognition of her academic performance. She was the recipient of the President's Award, which is awarded to the student who demonstrates scholastic achievement and possesses high potential for meaningful contribution to the law school, community and profession.
