As an attorney and civic leader, Henry Rhoads, now of counsel to the firm, has gained a reputation for his integrity, foresight and strong negotiating skills.
In his estate practice, Mr. Rhoads has successfully advised clients in the planning and administration of substantial estates, many involving closely held corporate and business holdings and complex tax issues. This practice has often led to the creation and administration of charitable and non-charitable trust funds.
Long active in the representation of banks, Mr. Rhoads has given advice in corporate structure and governance, as well as in the negotiation and implementation of mergers and acquisitions. He led the firm in its representation of banks in their financial services and trust business.
In the area of corporate law, Mr. Rhoads has extensive experience in advising publicly held clients on issues pertaining to securities law and regulation. As counsel to privately held companies, he has dealt with issues of management control and succession.
