Kate Sallie is a member of the firm’s Bankruptcy & Workout Strategies practice group as well as its Corporate Finance & Securities practice group. Ms. Sallie concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, commercial lending transactions, and loan workouts.
As lead bankruptcy counsel, Ms. Sallie has represented debtors and creditors committees in Chapter 11 reorganizations and liquidations, landlords in contested bankruptcy lease and sale transactions, and banks, lending institutions and other secured creditors in Chapter 7, 11 and 13 bankruptcy cases. Ms. Sallie has also represented liquidating trustees as well as numerous defendants in adversary proceedings. Additionally, Ms. Sallie has worked with various financial institutions with respect to loan workouts and collection matters.
Ms. Sallie graduated magna cum laude from the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University in 2004 where she was a member of the Woolsack Honor Society and a recipient of various academic awards, including the Trial Lawyers' Advocacy Award in 2004. While attending law school, Ms. Sallie was an Articles Editor of the Penn State University International Law Review and published “The Convergence of British and French Law in Accordance with the European Convention of Human Rights” 22 Penn St. Int’l L. Rev. 191 (2003). Ms. Sallie is a member of the American Bankruptcy Institute and is admitted to practice in both Delaware and Pennsylvania.
