Kevin Gold is Chair of Rhoads & Sinon's Employment & Labor practice group. Mr. Gold's practice focuses on representing public and private employers in all aspects of employment and labor law, including the defense of discrimination and wrongful discharge claims; negotiation, drafting and enforcement of employment contracts; drafting of employment handbooks and policies; and providing advice and counsel regarding wage and hour issues, unemployment compensation claims, labor arbitrations, union elections and unfair labor practice cases. Mr. Gold has litigated employment and labor matters before the Pennsylvania Human Relations Commission, Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Unemployment Compensation Board of Review, U.S. Department of Labor, and National Labor Relations Board, as well as Pennsylvania’s state and federal courts.
Mr. Gold also serves as a founding member of the Intellectual Property & Technology practice group where he advises clients on the protection and enforcement of intellectual property rights under trademark, trade secret and copyright law and on emerging technology issues involving the Internet. Mr. Gold is a member of the firm's Entertainment & Sports Law practice group, which has a growing list of celebrity clientele.
Mr. Gold is also a frequent lecturer and writer and has spoken and written on labor and employment, intellectual property and technology issues and entertainment and sports law for such organizations as the Pennsylvania Bar Institute, Council on Education in Management, National Business Institute, Small Business Development Center and Pennsylvania Association of Community Bankers.
Mr. Gold joined Rhoads & Sinon in 1995.
